Civic Engagement
In the last unit we looked at the different systems of government in the global world and how they impact our government in the United States.
In this unit you will learn how the government affects you and how you can affect the government. You will learn about what it means to be a citizen and what citizenship really means. You will learn more about your basic rights today and what those rights mean to your future.

Just think about it:
As a citizen, we have the right to vote for others to represent us. However, you must be at least 18 years of age to vote. What about those who are under 18? How can they participate?
